Mountain RF Sensors, Inc. Announces the Enhanced MtRF-7501 Ground-To-Air VHF/UHF Transceiver

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., August 9nd, 2016 – As the latest addition to a growing product line, Mountain RF Sensors is announcing an advanced version of their MtRF-7501 VHF/UHF Ground-to-Air Transceiver. The company slogan, “What have you been missing?” is rooted in the Software Defined Receiver (SDR) architecture that offers superior sensitivity and dynamic range.

In addition to the AM/FM capabilities of the original version, this model now supports Single Side Band (SSB), both LSB, and USB modes. Custom digital modes can also be accommodated at the factory. Contact Mountain RF Sensors about your unique requirements.

Featuring frequency ranges of 116–152 MHz (VHF) and 225–400 MHz (UHF), Model MtRF-7501 is geared for both civilian and government/military applications. The Ground-to-Air transceiver provides RF output of 25 Watts AM, 50 Watts FM, and 100 Watts on SSB; giving you equal performance without the unnecessary options while doing so at a price point that is approximately 20% of the cost of the “big boys”. Housed in 4U, 19 inch rackmount enclosure, it includes serial, USB, Ethernet, and remote display ports. The unit features a color touch screen standard, plus dedicated front panel controls for power, volume, squelch, tuning, and high/low power. The MtRF-7501 operates from 90–250 VAC line power or 24–32 VDC.

Mountain RF Sensors Inc. Announces the MtRF-4100 Series Radio Direction Finder (RDF) Systems

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 2, 2016 — Providing another answer to the question “What have you been missing?” Mountain RF Sensors is announcing their new line of Radio Direction Finders, the MtRF-4100 Series. Two years of research & development have produced a system that is accurate, reliable, and cost effective. Utilizing dual 6-element Doppler arrays, the system covers 30 MHz to 1000 MHz. An optional ferrite loop array extends the low-end frequency coverage to 2 MHz.

The antenna array is rugged enough for both land and marine installations. The DF receiver/processor is a complete stand-alone unit and is ideal for remote SIGINT and spectrum monitoring applications. The MtRF-4100 Series support both analog audio (narrow band) and digital I&Q (wide band) outputs. Communication is available via RS-232 serial, USB, and Ethernet ports. The receivers use a 16 bit 130 MHz A/D converter and an Altera Cyclone III FPGA to achieve both high sensitivity and dynamic range.

The MtRF-4100 Series receiver/processor is offered in an 8.75″ x 6.50″ x 2.02″ module or 1U 19″ rack version.

Mountain RF Sensors Inc. Announces the MtRF-2100 Series SDR Receivers

Fort Lauderdale, FL. July 26, 2016-In answer to the question “What have you been missing?,” Mountain RF Sensors is announcing their new line of Software Defined Receivers (SDR), the MtRF-2100 Series. This second-generation has undergone two years of research & development and offers wider frequency coverage, more features and a higher level of performance as compared to the previous generation. Six models cover the 100 kHz – 550 MHz range and offer superior sensitivity and dynamic range to uncover signals previously not heard.

The receivers are complete stand-alone “black box” receivers, not requiring a supporting PC as most “SDR” receivers do. The receivers are ideal for leave-behind SIGINT and spectrum monitoring applications, supporting both analog audio (narrow band) and digital I&Q (wide band) outputs. Communication is available via RS-232 serial, USB, and Ethernet ports. The receivers use a 16 bit 130 MHz A/D converter and an Altera Cyclone III FPGA to achieve both high sensitivity and dynamic range.

The MtRF-2100 Series is offered in an 8.75” x 6.50” x 2.02” module or 1U 19” rack version.
